In 1984 husband and wife Daniel and Veronique Flachaire met with Bernard Donati and Nat Maori and the outcome was a unique beach lifestyle brand. The combination of the multicultural background of all four members at the meeting inspired the launch of Banana Moon which soon became an international success with its bikinis and beachwear line. Combining the timeless Californian look with a certain European know-how, each piece in Banana Moon’s collection offers a sense of style and creativity.

Since its humble beginnings with their swimwear line like the triangle bikini, they have expanded their collection to include beachwear, ready-to-wear and beach accessories and are now distributed in more than fifty countries around the world. Defined by its colorful prints fused with a trendy style, each piece offers a casual look with a sexy twist. In 2006 Banana Moon launched Banana Moon Couture, while Banana Moon Teens was launched in 2012 and most recently the new collection further exudes the dream of beach bliss in style.

Adding a touch of freshness to the impressive collection, the Banana Moon Couture collection is chic, refined and glamorous. Focusing on luxurious fabrics and distinctive details to achieve a stylish and flirty look, the swimsuits in this line present a mood where everything feels much better when the sun shines. In the collection the top shape is offered in either: bandeau, one-piece, triangle, bralette high-neck top, push-up or underwire, while the bottom shape is offered in either the: classic pant, high-wasted or tie-side and you can choose either full or small coverage.

Jotrao & Takia Numana Pink Two-PIece Bikini

One of the suits in the Banana Moon Couture Summer Collection that is definitely eye-catching is the Jotrao & Takia Numana Pink Two-PIece Bikini which features a floral print and triangle string top and a ring between the cups. This triangle floral print bikini top can be paired with the Takia Numana brief so you can flaunt your sexy feminni summer look. Also in the Summer Collection is the One Piece Orange Caititu Palapas swimsuit. Its super sexy plunging V-neckline features a ring under the chest and is made from recycled fabric. The best part about this piece, along with its stunning floral pattern, is that you can also wear it as a bodysuit. Last, but certainly not least, is the stunning Auleo & Soraya Amores Brown Two-Piece Bikini that is designed with removable straps and will go perfectly with the ARIMA AMORES brief for a classic and iconic look.

Banana Moon is also expanding its eco-friendly line riding the growing wave in the swimsuit industry as a whole for using sustainable materials. As the company is thinking full cycle, they aim to reduce their carbon footprint by using long-lasting products, incorporating short production cycles and starting “Operation Upcycled” where women can drop off their worn swimsuits and turn them into something new and unique. Creative Director Justine Flachaire is even working with their workshops in Monaco making swimwear from recycled fishing nets using Earth Generation 100% Nylon ECONYL and creating a sustainable swimwear collection.
