India registers 66 new COVID-19 cases, active cases stand at 1,755, Health News, ET HealthWorld


New Delhi: At 66, India sees sharpest dip in COVID cases Tuesday; lowest since March 2020. As per a health bulletin issued by the Union Health Ministry, the active caseload stands at 1, 755, which is 0.01 per cent.

A total of 91.54 crore COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far; 1,45,593 tests conducted in last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate is 0.05 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 0.07 per cent.

“India has administered 220.48 crore total vaccine doses (95.18 crore second doses and 22.72 crore precaution doses) of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. 2,82,654 doses were administered in the last 24 hours,” the statement added.

Also, 158 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,41,50,289. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.81 per cent.
