Engn Activewear will open its first store to date in Mumbai in the city’s Bandra district on January 29. The new store will retail the direct-to-customer brand’s range of performance sportswear, designed to support female athletes.
Engn Activewear’s brand ambassador Esha Deol, who recently starred in a campaign for the brand, will attend the store opening, the brand announced in a press release. The new store will retail the brand’s full range of t-shirts, tanks, leggings, sports bras, and shorts, among other garments designed to be worn during sports. The brand aims to raise revenue through selling its clothing designs to gather funding which it can use to support the athletes it sponsors.
Engn aims to offer high quality activewear at affordable prices. The business launched in August 2021, as a Mumbai-based athlete representation and clothing company, focusing on female athletes. Engn Activewear supports its athletes with financial support via investments and sponsorships and with infrastructural support including nutrition, training, and mental health coaches among other services.
The brand’s tagline is, “We take care of everything for our athletes so they can focus on what they do best – Making India Proud.” Athletes represented by Engn Activewear include Olympic swimmer Maana Patel, India’s rank one Taekwondo champion Anisha Aswal, and international 400 metres track athlete Nithyashree Ananda among others.
